Aruba is one of the Dutch Antilles but it has the "status aparte" which gives the island almost total independence from the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

This is what I found on a very small island just a few hundred meters from Aruba. One of the reasons everybody knows the Island for are the beautifull beaches. A true bounty.

Mambo Jambo is one of the places on the island where people are dancing every day of the week until it is early morning.

Many cruiseships will make a stop at this island. Just in front of the cruiseship is Carlos 'n Charlies. Another place where you can dance every day.

There are some nice birds willing to pose for the picture.

And of course the Iguanas. The island houses a very large amount of different iguana species.
